Laurene Powell Jobs, 60, has just purchased a luxury property in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood for $70 million, which she bought at a $30 million discount.

His purchase makes the philanthropist and founder of Emerson Collective the owner of the most expensive single-family home ever recorded in the city.

The sellers, Sloan Lindemann Barnett and her husband Roger, initially hoped to pocket a whopping $100 million for their Spanish Renaissance-style dream home, the Wall Street Journal first reported

Sloan, the daughter of billionaire art collector George L. Lindemann, and her husband Roger, the big boss of health supplement giant Shaklee, originally purchased the apartment for “just” $33 million in 2011.

The property, once called “America’s Most Beautiful Home” by Architectural Digest, is adorned with white onyx walls and views of the Golden Gate.

The mansion was involved in a scandal involving looted Cambodian artifacts, with the previous owners having to return 33 ancient statues. Chronicle of San Francisco reported.

Earlier this year, he spent $94 million on a beachfront property in Malibu.

In 2018, Jobs continued his real estate buying spree with the purchase of a stunning mansion in San Francisco for $16.5 million.

He purchased the Russian Hill home from venture capitalist Danny Rimer.

Rimer paid $12.4 million for the home in 2013. Rimer’s home had been on the market for only a month when Powell Jobs paid cash for it.

In October 2023, the billionaire philanthropist opened her checkbook to help boost President Joe Biden’s reelection effort.

His $929,600 contribution came just two weeks after DailyMail.com reported he had not matched his 2020 generosity and was still on the sidelines as Biden, 80, faced complaints within his party.

In addition to writing the check to the Biden Victory Fund, the founder of Emerson Collective and wife of the late Steve Jobs made contributions of up to $3,300 to Biden’s primary and general election campaigns.

His contribution came days before real estate and casino mogul Neil Bluhm, chairman of JMB Realty, donated the same amount of $929,600.
