Kmart fans have been rushing to stores to get their hands on a deal that promises to solve one of the most annoying problems Australians experience during summer.
The Fly Repellent Fan, $5.50, is a powerful battery-operated defense against the dreaded flies that create a nuisance when barbecuing or dining outdoors during the warmer months.
Amber Hope from WA praised the “amazing” fans in an online membership group, saying they keep camping BBQ trays and outdoor dinners completely “fly-free”.
The lightweight, cordless, game-changing design features soft-touch, child-safe rotor blades and quiet operation that eliminates flies without added noise.
And buyers have said they are the “perfect” addition to any outdoor table, with many praising the device for how effectively it does its job.
People said the inexpensive outdoor fan had the added benefit of eliminating the need to use strong-smelling insect repellent sprays, which can be quite toxic.
Mini fans come with an additional handle at the bottom making them an indispensable addition to your camping trips or when travelling in vans and caravans.
And the “fantastic” gadgets are already flying off Kmart shelves across the country, with many praising how much cheaper this version is compared to other models.

“They work very well, I was surprised at how effective they are,” said one.
“Excellent value for money. A fantastic little item for al fresco dining,” added another.
“I got mine for $15, that’s cheap!” commented a third.
With each fan costing less than $6, several Australians said they planned to “stock up” on multiple fans for outdoor summer gatherings, especially around Christmas.
This comes after Michael Provis, a British expat living in New South Wales, shared the Kmart Electronic Facial Mister ($11) online.
Michael, who already dreads the infamous Australian summer heat and uses the mist spray to cool down in the car, called the Kmart deal his best find of 2024.
The facial mist spray, which can be used to refresh the skin and as part of a hydrating skincare regimen, comes with an on/off button that releases refreshing hydration.
And fans couldn’t stop praising the popular compact atomizer, with those who already own one saying they “100 percent recommend” it.
