Vice President Kamala Harris released her first video promoting her presidential bid on Thursday, just days after President Biden dropped out of the race and she garnered enough support to become the presumptive nominee.
The video is titled ‘We Choose Freedom’ and features Beyoncé’s song ‘Freedom’, which is also being used as Harris’ walk-out song at events.
While Beyoncé has not officially endorsed the vice president as of yet, a source familiar with the matter confirmed that Beyoncé’s team has given the campaign permission to use the song.
The video is also narrated by the vice president herself and is being promoted on the campaign’s social media platforms.
In the article, Harris lays out her priorities as her campaign struggles to reintroduce her to the American people as the Democratic presidential candidate. She also launches a blistering attack on former President Donald Trump.
But in the video at minute 20 there is no mention of President Biden or any image of them together.

“In this election, each of us faces one question,” Harris says in the video: “What kind of country do we want to live in?”
“There are people who think that we should be a country of chaos, of fear, of hate, but we chose something different. We chose freedom,” he continues.
The video begins with footage of an American flag and Harris supporters waving signs with the word “Kamala” at her rally in Milwaukee on Tuesday. It then cuts to ominous images of Trump and his running mate JD Vance.
Later in the video, Harris calls for a future where “no one is above the law.”
At that point, an image of Trump’s mugshot from his election interference case in Georgia is shown, as well as headlines from when Trump was indicted and found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records in New York.

Harris has been taking aim at Trump in her speeches. At her first rally, she touted going after predators and said Trump is one of them. She talked about taking on scammers and criticized Trump for being guilty of fraud.
While the new video features images of Trump, it does not mention the Republican presidential candidate by name and, aside from the targeted lines, is a more upbeat presentation of the Democratic candidate.
The video relies heavily on footage of Harris supporters holding signs and applauding at Harris’ first campaign rally with voters as a presidential candidate.
The Milwaukee event was attended by 3,000 people in the key swing state. There were also pride flags, families, construction workers and doctors.

In the video, Harris talks about reproductive freedom. Abortion has been a major issue for the vice president on the campaign trail since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade.
“The freedom not just to survive, but to thrive. The freedom to be safe from gun violence. The freedom to make decisions about your own body,” Harris says.
She asks for a future ‘“where no child lives in poverty” and “where everyone can afford health care.”
It ends with the rallying cry Harris enthusiastically uses on the campaign trail.
“We believe in the promise of America and we are willing to fight for it,” he said. “Because when we fight, we win.”
While the campaign’s first video was posted on social media, no political ad buys have yet been made on television featuring the vice president. However, the campaign has been advertising on digital media.
On the same day Biden dropped out of the race, the company began running digital ads promoting the president’s endorsement of Harris and lobbying her supporters to raise money for her presidential bid.
In just over 24 hours, Harris’ campaign raised more than $100 million from more than 1.1 million donors.
