His eyes are set on a move to the White House in January, but right now potential First Gentleman Doug Emhoff is in the mix.
On Saturday, DailyMail.com broke the news that Emhoff’s first marriage ended when he got his children’s nanny pregnant.
Now, we can reveal that life at Number One Observatory Circle, the Vice President’s official residence, has been chilly to say the least.
“You know what they say: ‘Fool once, fool always,'” said one senior source.
“Of course, Kamala is worried, not just that he might do it again, but that he might have already done it again?”
Our bombshell exclusive revealed that Emhoff, 59, had an affair with blonde Najen Naylor, a teacher at his children’s school who also worked as a nanny to his then eight-year-old daughter Ella.

The affair cost him his first marriage and he and his first wife Kerstin, now chief executive of the creative think tank Prettybird, divorced in 2008.
The news came just after Emhoff’s name — and face — surfaced Friday, when his wife’s campaign unveiled new coffee mugs emblazoned with the image of a handsome, noticeably younger, slimmer and hairier Second Gentleman for sale at kamalaharris.com.
Within hours, Harris’ campaign was on the defensive as Emhoff admitted to the affair, claiming he had told Kamala years ago and had also disclosed the affair to Joe Biden’s team when he was evaluating candidates for the 2020 vice presidential nomination.
“During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some difficult times because of my actions,” Emhoff sheepishly admitted after the DailyMail.com exclusive.
“I took responsibility and in the years since then we have worked together to resolve things and have emerged stronger.”
But while Kamala, 59, is said to have known about it, she still feels “nervous and humiliated” just two weeks after it became clear she would be the Democrat’s presidential pick in 2024, according to a source.
“She’s trying to focus on revamping her image and this is the last thing she wanted right now.”
“The Democratic convention is just around the corner and the election is less than three months away, so any distraction has to be bad news.”

Emhoff, 59, and his ex-wife, film producer Kerstin, 57, ended their 16-year marriage in 2009 when she discovered the affair, sources said. Their daughter Ella was 10 and son Cole was 15 at the time.
“To put it bluntly, it’s not a good look, and Harris and her team know it. News of the affair dominated coverage of the candidate over the weekend and sent her camp into a panic.”
Not even a statement from his first wife supporting him helped much.
“Doug and I decided to end our marriage for a variety of reasons many years ago,” said Kerstin, 57.
“He’s a great father to our children, remains a great friend to me, and I’m so proud of the warm and supportive family Doug, Kamala and I have built together.”
As admirable as her defense of the father of her two children was, there is no getting around the fact that among that “variety of reasons” a key factor was Emhoff’s affair.
Harris tried to put the romance behind her on Tuesday by choosing outsider Tim Walz as her running mate, hoping to shift the focus to the Minnesota governor’s rock-solid 30-year marriage.
Naylor, now 47, moved from California to the East Coast shortly after the romance ended.
He now lives in the millionaires’ playground of the Hamptons in New York.
She made no attempt to deny the matter when contacted at her home by DailyMail.com.
Her only comment was that she was “a little scared right now.”
But a close friend with direct knowledge of the affair and pregnancy told DailyMail.com that Naylor did not keep the child, while CBS has since reported that the pregnancy ended in a miscarriage.
Another friend, Stacey Brooks, who had twin sons around the same time as Naylor, also did not deny any of the claims but said she would not release any more information without Naylor’s permission.
When contacted by DailyMail.com, Naylor declined to comment on her relationship with Emhoff or the baby. “I’m a bit scared at the moment,” she said.
According to sources who spoke to DailyMail.com, Naylor was Ella’s nanny when she became pregnant. She worked first as a teaching assistant and then as a teacher at Willows.

Sources told DailyMail.com that following the romance, Naylor had to leave her job at her children’s posh private school, The Willows in Culver City, California, where she first worked as a teacher’s assistant and then as a teacher.
Current tuition rates for kindergarten through eighth grade schools range from $32,525 to $41,535.
The Emhoffs’ 2010 divorce settlement, filed in a Los Angeles court, says the couple shared the costs of a nanny, a private tutor and private school fees.
When the couple split in May 2009, their daughter Ella, now a model, was finishing third grade.
Emhoff met Harris, then California’s attorney general, three years later in 2013, when one of her friends set her up on a blind date. They married the following year.
It is unclear whether he confessed his affair to Harris before his second wife was being considered to become vice president or whether that was the moment it came to light.
Either way, sources say, she couldn’t have re-emerged at a worse time, just as Harris has overtaken Donald Trump in several polls and is preparing for her final push to win over voters in November.
