Tilda leads the cast as Martha alongside Julianne as Ingrid in the comedy-drama which also stars film legend and actor John Turturro, Face/Off star Alessandro Nivola, Esther McGregor, Alex Høgh Andersen and Alvise Rigo.
The film is about the breakup between Martha (Tilda), a very imperfect mother and war correspondent, and her resentful daughter, as well as the former’s relationship with the author Ingrid (Julianne).
Originally from Calzada de Calatrava, Spain, Almodóvar’s numerous directing credits include the Festival selections Mujeres al verge de unbreakdown (1988), Hable con ella (2002), Bad education (2004), Volver (2006), Broken Embraces (2009), Juliet (2016) and Pain and Glory (2019).
In 2023 he received the Impact Media Award, which recognizes leadership in creating a union between social impact and film, at the TIFF Tribute Awards.
Julianne and Tilda have been busy promoting the new film while traveling around the world.
Last month they were seen at the San Sebastian International Film Festival before promoting the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Elsewhere Pedro received the Golden Lion at the 81st Venice International Film Festival last month at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy, Variety reports.

The Room Next Door is scheduled to be released in theaters in Spain on October 18.
