Jimmy Nail made a rare public appearance at the Death Of England: The Plays press night launch at @sohoplace in London on Tuesday.
The Auf Wiedersehen star Pet, 70, cut a dapper figure for the event, sporting a navy blazer teamed with a pair of black jeans.
The actor also wore a light pink shirt and brown shoes and completed his look with sunglasses.
Jimmy was born in Longbenton, north Tyneside, in 1954.
He accepted the famous role of bricklayer Leonard ‘Oz’ Osbourne in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, despite originally auditioning to be an extra.

In 1985, her cover of Rose Royce’s Love Don’t Live Here Anymore was a huge hit in the UK and in 1992, she returned to the charts with Ain’t No Doubt, which earned her a number one hit.
He released Crocodile Shoes in 1994 for the television drama Crocodile Shoes, which reached number four in the charts.
In 1996, while starring in Crocodile Shoes, Jimmy was the highest-paid television actor in the UK that year, earning almost £1 million.
Despite this financial success, Jimmy abandoned his acting career the following year to focus on music.

“Music was always my first love, my true passion. I just needed to prove myself and acting roles were a step on the way to that. It was a coincidence that I won the lottery as an actor.”
In 2014, Jimmy was part of Sting’s stage musical project Last Ship.
