Jimmy Kimmel’s attempt to sway Republicans with a 19-minute anti-Trump monologue has backfired with viewers.
The announcer made a special appeal to those who plan to vote for the former president, in which he promised to avoid “liberal virtue signaling.”
But the nearly 20-minute rant ended up irritating some viewers so much that they vowed to vote for Trump anyway, just to spite Kimmel.
The comedian used excerpts from the former president’s speeches, interviews and rallies to try to illustrate several aspects that, in his opinion, make Trump unfit to lead.
‘Am I prejudiced against Donald Trump? Yes,” Kimmel admitted. ‘Do I think I have good reason to be biased against him? Yes.

“And I’m probably wrong, but I think when you hear some of those reasons, you might agree with me, even just a little bit.”
However, many viewers felt alienated by Kimmel’s sermons, with some even suggesting that they were now voting for Trump to spite him.
“I was undecided, but since Hollywood elites like Jimmy Kimmel support Harris, I’ll vote for Trump,” one person wrote.
“Kimmel fell and woke up,” another added.
”Do you remember when Johnny Carson and Jay Leno were hosts and it was all about class and entertainment? “Jimmy is a clown,” one person wrote.
‘Everything this MF does is every night! Scam Trump. Do you have any other material? Oh. Change the channel,” enraged one viewer.
In the segment, Kimmel attacked Trump for his “concepts of a plan” for health care, his obsession with transgender children and his “God Bless the USA” Bible made in China.

“Those Bibles weren’t even made in the United States, they were made in China,” Kimmel joked. “That’s how hard he is with China, he forces them to make their Bibles for him.”
He also highlighted the fact that Trump previously seemed unable to answer what his favorite Bible passage is, as well as the proliferation of rumors that Haitian immigrants were eating pets in Ohio.
“He has no plan to raise grocery prices, make us safer, or secure the border,” Kimmel summarized.
‘The only plans he has are to file lawsuits, legal challenges, settle scores and punish his enemies. That’s all he has planned, he’s going to do the same tricks he did last time and more.
‘This is not my opinion, this is happening openly.
‘The only thing that makes this country a democracy more than anything else is free and fair elections of the people, by the people and for the people. He wants to turn it from me, to me, to me.’

However, many praised Kimmel’s comment and his use of Trump’s own words to illustrate his points.
Not everyone was disappointed by the monologue, and many praised Kimmel for his comment.
“This is absolutely brilliant on Kimmel’s part, all in Trump’s own words,” one person on X wrote.
‘Jimmy Kimmel with a powerful indictment of Trump’s nonsense and idiocy in tonight’s monologue. Kill the bully with video evidence,” added another.
