Judge Nicole Sonnenblick, who presided over the hearing, entered around 2:10 p.m.

The Jersey Shore star and her attorney James Leonard discussed resetting the hearing in favor of an in-person hearing that would take place in late August.

Both Judge Sonnenblick and Pivarnick’s attorney agreed that it is not necessary for police officers to be present at the upcoming hearing.

When police responded to Pivarnick’s home, she “committed an act of obstruction by deliberately fleeing from uniformed officers in an attempt to enter a home, lock the door, and prevent police from conducting a domestic violence investigation,” according to the complaint signed by one of the responding officers, via Asbury Park Press.

The complaint also alleges that the reality star pushed her arms away from officers and refused to follow their commands after being taken into custody.

Pivarnick was never taken to jail and was instead released after being cited and fined.

Pivarnick’s attorney, James Leonard, said the incident was “very minor” and “exacerbated” by a bad reaction to prescription medication.

“This is nothing more than a very minor incident that was exacerbated by an adverse reaction to a prescription over-the-counter medication,” he said.

“We hope to resolve this matter favorably and put it behind us. Angelina is at home resting and has no further comment at this time.”

Pivarnick purchased the four-bedroom, five-bathroom property in October 2021, following her divorce from Chris Larangeira in January 2021.

She began dating Tortorella in 2022 after they met on social media. The couple got engaged in 2023.
