Jennifer Lopez dropped a huge hint eight months ago that she had split from husband Ben Affleck.
It was then that the beautiful 55-year-old woman signed a contract for a new film without her husband.
myDespite working on several films with Affleck – This Is Me… Now, The Greatest Story Never Told, Unstoppable and Kiss Of the Spider Woman – she made sure he was not on board her Bob The Builder project.
Instead of working with Ben’s company, Artists Equity, JLo’s production company, Nuyorican Productions, will co-produce with Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico of ShadowMachine.
It’s a new film based on the beloved long-running children’s series, it was reported. Deadline in January.
The film will see Antony Ramos lend his voice to the iconic character Roberto, aka Bob, as he travels to Puerto Rico for an important construction job.

J-Lo’s production company Nuyorican Productions has joined forces with In The Heights star Anthony Ramos for the new film, with Ramos lending his voice to the animated icon.
It addresses issues affecting the island and delves into what it means to build, and the film celebrates the “vibrant and colorful textures of the Latin Caribbean nations and their people.”
The Bob the Builder series lasted 12 seasons between 1999 and 2011 and made famous the phrase: ‘Can we fix it? Yes we can!’, and the character even scored a number one Christmas single in the UK in 2000.
Felipe Vargas will write the film, with the project overseen by Kevin McKeon, Ivan Sanchez and Arturo Thur De Koós for Mattel and Natalie Haack Flores for Nuyorican.
Other Mattel films in development include Barney, Hot Wheels and Polly Pocket, and the company hopes to match the success of the billion-dollar blockbuster Barbie.
Lopez has two upcoming films with Affleck.
His film Unstoppable about a wrestler will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on September 6.
Producers have been pushing Ben and Jen to appear together on the red carpet, but Page Six has claimed that Jennifer will be at that event and not Ben.
Next year, López will star in his film Kiss of the Spider Woman.

The superstar was engaged to Hollywood actor Ben in the early 2000s and the pair reconciled in 2021 before tying the knot in two ceremonies in 2022, but the relationship has now ended once again with Jennifer filing for divorce on Tuesday to end the union.
Now, a new report suggests Jennifer felt it was the right time to move on with her life. A source told PEOPLE, “[She knows]it’s time to move on” for a number of reasons.
“She’s very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn’t given her any indication that he wants to continue their marriage. He hasn’t shown any commitment or interest in making their marriage work. It’s gotten to the point where she just needs to look after herself.”

The divorce filing came exactly two years after the couple’s extravagant second wedding in Georgia on August 20, 2022, and a source told the publication that the significance of the date was not lost on Jennifer.
They said: ‘She had already had enough of waiting and the date she did it says a lot… (The divorce filing) gives her control of the process… It’s good that she did it…’
“She worked so hard to make things work and is heartbroken.”
The source went on to insist that the former couple’s blended family takes priority, adding: “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.”
Jennifer is a mother to twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony and stepmother to Ben and Jennifer Garner’s children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
The singer and actress wrote an entire album, This Is Me… Now, inspired by the rekindled love between the two and even made a film version of it. She even gushed about the relationship a few months before the official date of their separation, which is listed as April 26, 2024.
She told Metro newspaper: “I wrote This Is Me… Then when Ben and I fell in love 20-something years ago. As fate would have it, we went back to our old lives. And on the 20th anniversary of This Is Me… Then, I announced I was doing This Is Me… Now.”
“I was inspired by the surreal miracle that had happened. Her coming back into my life and the two of us being reunited in a way we never expected. That was the inspiration for me to go into the studio.”
