Legendary Hollywood agent and film producer Jay Kanter has died at the age of 97.
Kanter, who was an agent for Hollywood icons such as Marlon Brando and Marilyn Monroe, died Tuesday at his home in Beverly Hills, according to TMZ.
His son, Adam Kanter, told the publication that his father died “peacefully of natural causes” and was “surrounded by his family.”
Kanter also represented other celebrities including Warren Beatty, Grace Kelly, Ronald Reagan and Gene Kelly.
He eventually moved on to become a film producer, working on such legendary films as Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, Alien, and films in the Star Wars and Police Academy franchises.

After World War II, Kanter landed a position at a major Hollywood agency, where he was mentored by legendary movie mogul Lew Wasserman.
At just 22, Jay convinced The Godfather star Brando to become his client.
The professional relationship lasted throughout Brando’s career and became a lifelong friendship.
