Jason Kelce wore a blue beret to match his USA jersey as he and wife Kylie took part in the Paris Olympics on Saturday.

The Kelces came out to support the USA women’s field hockey team in their opening game on Saturday night.

Kylie played field hockey as a kid and this year she made a TikTok with a couple of American players. This, combined with Jason’s retirement, was the perfect time to travel to Paris for the Games.

“I would say I’ve always wanted to come and watch the Olympics,” Kylie told The Associated Press after the United States lost 4-1 to medal favorite Argentina.

“When they qualified to come to Paris, I thought it made sense. And then when I sat down to talk to Ashley and Kelee, I realized there was no question. It made sense from start to finish. We’re just happy to be here.”

Jason would have also loved to attend the Olympics, but the Summer Games conflict with NFL training camp.

Travis Kelce’s brother is in the middle of camp with the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, while his famous girlfriend, Taylor Swift, is on a European tour in Munich.

“When we found out we were going to have the opportunity to go to this, the more we thought about it, the more we thought, ‘Let’s take advantage of it now while we can actually do it,'” Jason said.

“We love sports, we love competition, we love world events. This is a unique place where everyone can come together and bond over competition and sports.”

The Kelces are all too familiar with that stuff, with Jason winning a Super Bowl during his 13 seasons as a center with the Philadelphia Eagles and Kylie playing defense in field hockey in high school and college.

She joked on the TikTok with Ashley Sessa and Kelee Lepage saying she was embarrassed, but it was worth it.

“It was really cool to sit down and talk to them about what this means to them, how excited they were about it and what it took to get here. It’s amazing to see them on this stage,” Kylie said.

“It feels like a full circle and I feel like the field hockey community really comes together. No matter what level you play at, you can appreciate what this means.”

Sessa, who scored the U.S.’s only goal, called Kylie one of the coolest people she’s ever interacted with.

“Meeting Kylie was an amazing experience, meeting someone who also shares the same passion for growing the game,” Sessa told the AP last week.

“It’s great to have the opportunity to connect and engage with her. She has an incredible heart and is very down-to-earth.”

After watching a game he said was closer than the score indicated, Jason had nothing but good things to say about the young U.S. team, filled with first-time Olympians.

“They played hard, they’re a young team and they played against arguably the best team in the world,” he said.

“It was a fun game to watch and I’m proud of the girls for how hard they fought.”

As for where he got the beret? “At a souvenir shop,” was all Kelce would say.
