Jack Vidgen has shared a heartbreaking health update.
The reality TV star, 27, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a post from a rehab center and revealed that she had relapsed from her current battle with addiction.
Jack, who has been in and out of treatment four times in recent years, told his followers he had suffered a five-week relapse.
Alongside a photo of himself in his hospital bed, the singer admitted in the caption that he was afraid to share the update.
‘As I write this I am very afraid of judgment. I’m terrified of what people will think, what they’ll say or whisper to each other if I walk past them on the street. I have been very afraid, for years, of this thing that lives inside me and that is my addiction,’ he began.
‘I just wanted to let you in for a moment and let you know that I’m not okay. For years I’ve heard the saying “It’s okay to not be okay” and I never really knew what the fuck that means. I feel like I’m somehow understanding it now.
‘I have been in a five-week relapse in which I have not been able to come out for air. “My addiction has been the biggest struggle of my life and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy,” he continued.
Jack wasn’t sure what exactly caused his latest struggle with addiction, but he surmised that the loss of two loved ones may have contributed.
