Jack Black has been announced as the latest celebrity to star in CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
The 54-year-old actor will join CBeebies Bedtime Stories Easter weekend line-up alongside Joanne Froggatt, Justin Fletcher and Tom Hardy.
The Kung Fu Panda star hosts the Easter weekend on Friday April 29 with a brilliant reading of “Pom Pom is Super” written by Sophy Henn.
Jack sported a bushy gray beard and long hair as he chatted on a single brown armchair, next to a toy panda – apparently a nod to his iconic character.
Elsewhere, Downton Abbey actress Joanne will read ‘Like a Girl’ by Lori Degman and illustrated by Mara Penny on Saturday.

Joanne said: “Telling stories has always been my passion and I couldn’t be more excited to read for CBeebies Bedtime Stories. The story is so beautiful and thought provoking and would be a lovely way to spend a bit of the Easter weekend. I hope you like it.’
CBeebies legend Justin Fletcher has a bunny adventure in store for the public on Easter Sunday March 31, with a hilarious reading of ‘Bunnies In A Boat’ by Philip Ardagh and illustrated by Ben Mantle.
To round off the weekend, Tom returns to Bedtime Stories on Monday April 1st reading ‘I Am a Tiger’ written by Karl Newson and illustrated by Ross Collins.
Jack joins the stellar list of famous faces to have read a CBeebies Bedtime story, including Jason Momoa, David Tennant, Geri Horner, Harry Styles, Elton John and Louis Theroux.
It comes after Jack – who plays Master Ping Xiao Po in the popular film franchise – was seen in Sydney to promote his latest animated feature, Kung Fu Panda 4.
It’s been almost a decade since the release of the last installment of the popular animation franchise, Kung Fu Panda 3, in 2016.
This marks Jack’s return to the iconic role of Po, building on his Emmy Award-winning performance in the Netflix series Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.
