ITV fans have revealed they are already “hooked”, after just one episode of the gripping new drama series dropped on ITVX on Thursday.
Australian series The Twelve, starring Sam Neill, hit screens for the first time in 2022 with its first season, which quickly received critical acclaim.
The courtroom drama, based on a Belgian miniseries, returned for a second run in Australia last month, with British fans facing an agonising wait as they counted down the days until the show hit UK screens.
And following her return to ITVX on Thursday, fans were quick to share their excitement on social media and it’s safe to say they’re delighted.

The first season of The Twelve tells the story of 12 jurors who, while facing their own personal struggles, must decide the case of a woman accused of killing a child.
It stars Sam as attorney Brett Colby, with the Jurassic Park star reprising his role for season two.
The second season, which also stars Frances O’Connor, Tasma Walton and Kris McQuade, sees Brett representing a new client in another gripping murder trial.
This time, the case centers on the death of a local landowner and respected town matriarch, with two former lovers accused of the murder.
Following her return to ITVX on Thursday, fans were quick to share their excitement on social media and it’s safe to say they’re thrilled.
Sam recently spoke about the new series, saying that season two will see “an even stronger story” than the first, Radio Times reports.
He shared: ‘I think it’s an even stronger story than last time, very intriguing indeed. With lots of twists and surprises. It will keep you guessing until the very end.
“It’s a movie you can relate to. Sometimes it’s very dark, sometimes it’s funny, but always captivating. It has fantastic characters and fantastic performances. And you can’t stop watching it.”

This comes after Sam gave fans an update on his health last month after he was diagnosed with stage three blood cancer.
The Jurassic Park star says he feels “great to be alive” after undergoing gruelling treatment while filming his 2022 series The Twelve.
“It just meant that every two weeks you had to forget about the weekend because it would be a bit gloomy,” he said. Herald of the Sun.
“But apart from that, it’s fantastic to be alive and working in beautiful places like York.”
