The Princess of Wales could join the royal family at the Remembrance Day service in November amid hopes her return to public life could be on the horizon.

Kate, 42, has made just two public appearances since being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

However, after spending a quiet summer at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, he is starting to think about the months ahead, The times has reported.

The Princess of Wales is believed to be aiming to attend the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph on November 10.

Plans are also said to be underway for their annual televised carol service ‘Together at Christmas’ at Westminster Abbey in December.

This comes as Kate has begun holding more meetings with her private secretary, Tom White, and the Wales’ communications secretary, Lee Thompson, to plan for the future.

However, there is no set date for Kate’s return to public life, nor are there any confirmed commitments yet on her agenda.

It has also been confirmed that she will not be joining her husband William in Cape Town in early November for this year’s Earthshot Prize awards.

Kate publicly announced five months ago that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing “preventive” chemotherapy.

“I am doing well and I am getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; my mind, body and spirit,” she said at the time, in a highly emotional and unprecedented video message.

This followed the major abdominal surgery Kate had in January, where she spent two weeks at the London Clinic in Marylebone.

She made her first public appearance since the shock announcement in June, when she joined the Royal Family to celebrate the King’s official birthday.

Her appearance at Trooping of the Colour had been in doubt after she missed the final rehearsal the weekend before the celebrations, and confirmation that she would attend only came at 6pm the night before.

In her second public appearance, the mother of three attended Wimbledon alongside her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister, Pippa Middleton.

She was greeted with a standing ovation when she made her way to the Royal Box during the tennis tournament in July.

The Princess presented the trophy to Carlos Alcaraz who defeated Novak Djokovic in two sets on Centre Court.

Before Kate and Charlotte took their seats in the Royal Box, they met with stars of women’s tennis, including Emma Radacanu, 21, who presented Kate with a bouquet of flowers.

US Open winner Raducanu said it was “amazing” to have Kate’s support and “to see her here so healthy and happy.”

Kate, who enjoys taking part in sporting events and showing her support for athletes, also made a surprise appearance alongside Prince William with a star-studded message to Team GB earlier this month.

Dressed in a classic black and white striped top, Kate beamed as she said: “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB.”

The Prince of Wales, wearing an official blue Team GB shirt, added briefly: “Well done Team GB, you have been an inspiration to us all.”

The news that Kate could return to public duties in the autumn comes after it was revealed yesterday that the King’s health is also heading in a “very positive” direction.

King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in January after undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate.

The King and Queen are preparing for a major tour of Australia and Samoa in the autumn – their first major overseas trip since news of Charles’ cancer was announced.

Downtime periods in Australia and Samoa will be built in, with not too many meetings back-to-back, taking into account the time difference and eliminating an expected trip to New Zealand to reduce travel demands, but Charles’ schedule is still expected to be “fairly full”.

Health must remain the number one priority, even though it remains on a very positive trajectory,” one source said.

Camilla also gave an insight into the King’s treatment this week as she opened a new cancer centre in Bath, revealing he was “doing very well”.

The King spent around three months away from public duties when he was diagnosed with cancer in January.

She then returned to work in April with a visit to a cancer centre in London, where she met with other patients.

The King’s aides took the opportunity to remind people that not all cancer recovery programmes are the same.

She had a number of high-profile engagements over the following months with the 80th anniversary commemorations of D-Day in Portsmouth and Normandy, Trooping the Colour, the incoming Japanese state visit, a short trip to Jersey and Guernsey, the appointment of a new Prime Minister following Labour’s landslide general election, and the State Opening of Parliament.

King Charles will celebrate the second anniversary of his accession to the throne on Sunday.
