A Hollywood film producer was divorcing his wife and seeking custody of their children when she jumped to her death from a hotel balcony.
Isabelle Thomas, 39, was found lying next to the pool area of the Angeleno Hotel in Los Angeles on January 29.
The English heiress shared twin daughters, Poppy and Grace, both 3 years old, with Oscar-nominated producer Bradley Thomas, whom she married in 2018.
However, court documents have revealed that four months before his death, the famous producer had filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” and requested legal and physical custody of the twins.

Police were called to the Angeleno Hotel after Isabelle was found dead in the pool area.

According to the Sun, Isabelle was notified on September 15, 2023 and given 30 days to file a response, while the action prevented her from removing the children from the state.
He then failed to attend a hearing on December 13 and Bradley requested “additional time to serve the defendant and file proof of service of subpoena” at the hearing, and the case was put on hold.
The manner of death was ruled a suicide by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, citing multiple traumatic injuries.
On February 1, three days after his wife’s death, Bradley’s attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the divorce case without prejudice.
Born in the Cotswolds as Isabelle Lawrence, her father was Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow, senior physicist at Cheltenham General Hospital, who later became head of the radiotherapy unit at the Bristol Cancer Centre.
She enjoyed a privileged childhood that saw her attend the private King Edward’s School and Prior Park College in Bath.
He then attended the University of Oxford and graduated in biological sciences. A varied career followed, including Thomas heading the UN and the World Bank, as well as being appointed by former British Prime Minister David Cameron to serve as a technology advisor.

She moved to California and continued her work as a consultant and producer, and was appointed to the Advisory Board of the UCLA Center for Storytellers and Scholars.
A DJ whose gigs included Ibiza Rocks, The Grand Prix and the official Grammy Awards after-party, he was a well-known face on the transatlantic social scene, with friends including musician James Blake and his presenter girlfriend Jameela Jamil.
Thomas was also photographed with Amy Winehouse at a 2010 charity event in Camden, London, where the tragic singer lived.
