Hollywood lawyer and Hunter Biden’s “sugar brother” Kevin Morris is said to have run out of cash after financially supporting Hunter’s legal battles over the past four and a half years to the tune of $6 million.

Morris, 61, decided to intervene after believing Hunter had little support, but has since confirmed he will no longer lend him money to fight his battles.

The withdrawal of financial support for the president’s son comes at the worst possible time for Hunter, 54, when two trials loom that could end up imprisoning him.

Hunter faces looming federal trials on weapons charges in Delaware that will begin June 3 with a second trial three weeks later in California on June 20 on tax charges.

“The reason Kevin became financially involved in the first place was because he could see that no one was going to help Hunter,” a Morris associate told Political.

“Now, four and a half years later, there is still no help and now Kevin is completely exhausted. So, just as Hunter faces two criminal trials set to begin in a few weeks, he has no recourse. It’s pretty serious.

in a interview with legislators Earlier this year, Morris’s role in paying Biden’s legal bills became clear.

The couple met in 2019 during the father, President Biden’s, campaign for the White House.

The pair quickly developed a close friendship just as Hunter was trying to get his life back on track and stay sober.

At that time, Morris helped him get secure housing. He was dubbed Hunter’s ‘sugar brother’ after he agreed to lend the First Son about $2.8 million to pay off his tax debts and joined his legal team amid criminal investigations and the Congress.

But now, after four and a half years of shouldering the financial burden, having loaned him more than $6.5 million, Morris is no longer willing to foot the bill.

The development is particularly worrying as Hunter is on the brink of two major legal battles and it is unclear who might pay witnesses to testify in his defense.

Experts who testify in trials have been known to bill more than $500 an hour to appear.

Hunter’s lead defense attorney, Abbe Lowell, who is preparing for his first trial on charges that he illegally purchased a gun as a drug user, is believed to have charged between $855 and $1,500 an hour for his services.

Lowell has nearly 50 years of experience working as a defense attorney and has been preparing for trial by seeking expert witnesses to testify on various topics, including drug addiction and forensic science, with payments yet to be agreed upon.

Last summer, while Hunter was at Morris’ Malibu home, he was photographed on a balcony in full view of the public street, appearing to inhale a white hookah, in photos obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com.

The images trigger unwanted flashbacks for the First Son, who photographed and videotaped himself using large quantities of drugs, including crack cocaine, in weeks-long binges over the years, footage from his abandoned laptop shows.

One of the criminal charges against Hunter is based on a 2018 federal weapons form that he was not an illicit drug user, when he admitted in his memoirs to being a crack addict.

The charges carry a combined maximum of 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Despite hiring the best lawyers, they may find it difficult to fight the facts of the case.

In Hunter’s 2021 memoir, Beautiful Things, he admitted to his continued “total addiction” to crack cocaine in 2018, the period in which he purchased the Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver.

The federally required Firearms Transaction Record for purchase asks: “Are you an illegal user of or addicted to marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic, or any other controlled substance?”

Hunter checked the “no” box on the form, obtained by DailyMail.com.

The charges against him were to be postponed as part of a plea deal Hunter reached with prosecutors, in which he would admit to tax crimes for knowingly failing to file and pay his tax bill on millions of dollars of income.

But under scrutiny by a federal judge in July, the plea deal collapsed spectacularly in the courtroom over a controversial provision that would give him blanket immunity for other crimes.
