Hideki Matsuyama won the FedEx Cup St. Jude Championship on Sunday and, as the second round of the FedEx Cup playoffs approaches, he is looking for his second victory. The top players coming out of St. Jude will join him at the BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado (with the exception of Cameron Smith, who withdrew due to a hip injury).
In the FedEx Cup, players accumulate points throughout the regular season and the top 70 are invited to play in the FedEx St. Jude Championship, held at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. The top 50 finishers at St. Jude’s will be eligible for the BMW Championship, which begins Thursday, Aug. 22 at Castle Pines. And the top 30 finishers at the BMW Championship will compete in the grand finale, the Tour Championship, which promises a $25 million top prize when it concludes.

The FedEx Cup playoffs began on August 15 and run through September 1. The first tournament of the playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship, was held from August 15-18. The second, the BMW Championship, was held from August 22-25.
