Holly Willoughby is set to return to British screens as part of Joel Dommett’s presenting team for the National Television Awards, it has been reported.

The former This Morning presenter, 43, looks set to reunite with her former co-stars after leaving the daytime show in October following 14 years as co-presenter.

Her departure came after a kidnapping and murder plot against her by security guard Gavin Plumb was uncovered, who has since received a prison sentence for the plot.

Last month it was announced that Holly would be returning to television to host a new game show on ITV with her Dancing On Ice co-host Stephen Mulhern.

And now it has been said that she will join Joel on stage for the TV awards on Wednesday, according to The sun on Tuesday.

In August it was confirmed that Holly will be returning to ITV to reboot a classic 90s game show, after being “watched by bosses for a while”.

Holly and Stephen will direct You Bet!, based on the German game show Wetten, dass..?, and previously helmed by Darren Day, as well as the late Bruce Forsyth and Matthew Kelly.

Speaking about her return to the channel, she said: ‘I’m so excited to be part of this iconic game show with the fabulous Stephen Mulhern.

“I can’t wait to see what amazing skills the contestants will demonstrate and which of our celebrity panelists will be able to triumph.”

His co-host Stephen added: “I loved You Bet! as a kid so I’m really excited to be presenting this with the wonderful Holly Willoughby.

‘From the big and spectacular to the unique and unexpected, I can’t wait to see what extraordinary skills the challengers have up their sleeves.’

Holly made her return to ITV on Dancing On Ice earlier this year after leaving daytime show This Morning in October 2023.

Announcing her departure at the time, she revealed she had made the decision “for herself and her family.”

Holly’s stalker Gavin Plumb was jailed for a minimum of 16 years last month after being convicted of conspiring to kidnap, rape and murder the TV presenter.

He is set to host a Netflix show, Bear Hunt, in which a group of British celebrities will be put to the test by survival expert and adventurer Bear Grylls in the Central American jungle.

Although no date has been set for the show, it is expected to air starting next year.

The show will reportedly feature appearances by celebrities including Spice Girl Mel B, The Saturdays singer Una Healy and tennis star Boris Becker.

Bosses at the popular streaming service are said to believe Holly’s wholesome appeal will help attract a more mainstream UK audience, including those who watched her on This Morning for many years.

Netflix UK content chief Anne Mensah has reportedly said the company wants to appeal to “everyone from your mum to your next-door neighbour” and Holly is surely the perfect face for that.

In recent months, the presenter has also shared hints that she will be turning her attention to other things outside of television, including working on her lifestyle brand, Wylde Moon.

She has now been tipped to join Joel on stage for the TV awards on Wednesday, according to The Sun.
