Holly quit presenting This Morning after 14 years on the show due to her terrifying kidnapping threat and has subsequently taken some time out of the spotlight.

After Gavin was sentenced, Holly posted an empowering statement, thanking the police and his legal team who brought him to justice.

She said: ‘As women, we should not be made to feel unsafe in our daily lives and in our own homes.

‘I will always be grateful to the undercover police officer who understood the imminent threat, and to the Metropolitan and Essex police forces for their swift response.

‘Thank you to the Crown Prosecution Service, the Honourable Judge Murray, Alison Morgan KC, the jury and everyone involved in this case for ensuring that justice was done and that the defendant was not able to harm any more women.

“I would also like to commend the bravery of his former victims for speaking out at the time. Without their bravery, this conviction would not have been possible.”
