Blanchard (née Gypsy-Rose Alcida) filed for divorce from Anderson on April 8, shortly after publicly announcing their separation.
It turns out that Louisiana law states that you may have to name Ryan Anderson on the birth certificate if you are still legally married to him at the time the baby is born.
If Urker wants his name on the birth certificate, Anderson must sign an affidavit saying he is the father. If he does not go ahead with this legal procedure in court, all three will have to take a DNA test to confirm who the parents are.
“If the husband goes and signs the affidavit along with the boyfriend, then the real father, so to speak, if it’s the boyfriend’s name, will appear on the birth certificate,” Louisiana attorney Beau Brock explained.
If DNA results prove Urker is the father, his name will officially replace Anderson’s name on the birth certificate as the baby’s father.

About four months later, she and Urker would announce that they were expecting their first baby together on July 9.

Her death followed what Blanchard described as “lifelong physical, mental and medical abuse,” and she ended up being sentenced to 10 years in prison.
She was released on parole in late December 2023 after serving eight years behind bars.
