EXCLUSIVE

A primary school teacher accused of filming up a girl’s skirt has been hit with a raft of new charges.

Guy James Meogrossi, 30, was arrested at Spring Farm Public School, near Camden in Sydney’s south, on June 3 after a student allegedly saw him filming up the skirts of female students and reported the behaviour to another teacher.

He was taken to Narellan police station and charged with three offences: filming a person’s private parts without consent, an aggravated charge of filming a person’s private parts without consent and producing child abuse material.

Now, Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the charges against Meogrossi have been amended while he remains in police custody.

Two of the initial charges were downgraded to “attempted” offences and police now allege he attempted to produce child abuse material and attempted aggravated filming of a person’s private parts.

Three more charges were also added, including two counts of attempting to film a person’s private parts without consent and one count of attempting to produce child abuse material.

Meogrossi’s case, which now includes six charges, remains before the courts.

Police will allege that the school principal contacted police after a teacher approached him with the student’s allegations.

Meogrossi, who worked as a sixth-grade teacher, is the father of a young daughter. His name has been removed from the staff list on the school’s website.

In addition to teaching, Meogrossi helped with extracurricular activities, coaching the school’s football team and organizing a jump rope challenge to raise funds for the Heart Foundation.

Meogrossi appeared in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday where no application was made for bail and bail was formally refused.

The matter is due to come back to court on September 25.
