A talented Australian musician who has had a hugely successful career overseas has shared a series of unrecognisable photos with his fans.
The 56-year-old star took to Instagram to share several photographs of himself as a young man, as well as some sweet childhood snaps of him playing guitar.
The four-time Grammy Award winner began his career in Australia in the 1990s, signing with EMI for his debut album.
Shortly after, she moved to the United States and released her first American self-titled album in 1999.
Since then, she has released 10 hit albums and collaborated with superstars like Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Pink.
In 2005, he met a famous Hollywood actress at an event promoting Australian culture and the couple married the following year.
In 2006, she checked into the renowned Betty Ford Center rehabilitation facility to address her substance abuse issues and left the center in 2007 with a new lease on life.
He has also been a judge on singing competitions The Voice Australia, as well as seasons 12 through 15 of American Idol.

The talented country singer took to Instagram to reflect on her childhood along with throwback photos.
In the caption he wrote: “When I was a kid, our family moved a lot.”
“For me, a ‘hometown’ has always meant more something related to my family and a place within myself, a place where I can find my center,” she added, before announcing her new single Heart Is Like A Hometown.

Nicole commemorated the special moment with a sweet photo of her and Keith by the ocean.
Keith played the guitar while Nicole rested next to him.
“Forever,” she captioned the image, adding a heart and the hashtag “Happy Anniversary.”
The lovebirds first met on January 15, 2005 at a G’Day USA gala in Los Angeles; Nicole and Keith are both from Australia.
They had exchanged phone numbers, but he didn’t call her for four months; the couple began to go strong shortly after meeting over the summer.
They announced their engagement in May 2006 and a month later, on June 25, 2006, they married in Sydney.
In 2008 they welcomed their daughter Sunday and in 2010 their daughter Faith.
