X Factor star Dylan Holloway has come out as transgender and shared his inspiring story on social media.
12 years after impressing the judges with his voice, Dylan is now speaking openly about his career.
The musician, who has 25,000 followers on Instagram, auditioned for the competition in 2012 with Simeon Dixon in his group MK1.
Dylan and Simeon finished in 11th place and continued making music for two more years after their time in the group.
The musical duo later decided to end their relationship and pursue their solo careers in music.

And Dylan, who now makes music under the name Dylan And The Moon, shared his touching story with fans on Instagram.
In a video posted on his Instagram, the artist spoke about his transition while discussing his music.
He said: “I’m a musician and I’m also a transgender man. I make indie pop music and I used to release music under my old name Lots Holloway.
‘Since I transitioned, I’ve been using my old vocal recordings and old vocals of mine to harmonize and duet with my former self because I want people to know that it’s okay to accept who you’ve been because they’ve led you to be who you are now.’
Fans flocked to his comments praising him for speaking so confidently about his transition.

During his participation in X Factor, Dylan declared himself bisexual in an interview with Sun At the time.
He told the publication: ‘If I go out and guys come up to me, they’re really confused when I tell them I have a girlfriend.
“It’s weird because all the girls think I’m gay and all the guys think I’m straight. But I actually like guys and girls, so I have the best of both worlds.
“I went from having a boyfriend to having a girlfriend and it was really fun. I was friends with a girl from my city and we used to hang out together, but one day I started to feel a little different and I thought, ‘I like both things. ’”
