An Adelaide family received an early morning wake-up call after a car (pictured) crashed into their home.

A disqualified driver will face court on traffic charges after he allegedly crashed into the front of a house, leaving behind a trail of destruction.

A 39-year-old man from South Australia crashed into the front fence of a house in the Adelaide inner west suburb of Flinders Park around 1am on Sunday.

Photos from the scene show a blue Mitsubishi sedan that crashed through the fence and damaged a front wall before landing in the front yard.

The accident also caused extensive damage to the facade of the home with broken bricks scattered across the front porch.

Paramedics took the man to hospital where he will undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

“Police checks revealed that he was already disqualified from driving and his vehicle was not registered,” police said on Sunday.

“He was reported for traffic violations and will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.”

“His vehicle was towed from the scene.”
