Depp, 61, continues his comeback journey by attending the world premiere of his new film Modi at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
The actor was seen greeting a large crowd of fans at his hotel upon his arrival on the northern coast of Spain on Monday.
About five hours southwest of Madrid, Depp’s ex Heard was also spotted on Monday with their three-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige.
The actress, who first moved to Mallorca, Spain, in late 2022 before relocating to Madrid, gave a brief statement when asked about how she feels about her ex also being in Spain, albeit several hours away.

When the actor was asked about the “life of an artist,” he appeared to reference his ex Heard in his response, although he did not mention her by name.

“Every character has their story, because I’m sure we can say I’ve been through a lot here and there… Maybe yours didn’t become a soap opera. I mean literally televised,” Depp said, apparently referring to his trial with Heard.
Depp arrived on the red carpet wearing a black shirt and a white scarf over his shoulders.
She also wore a black hat and light-colored sunglasses, while accessorizing her look with several silver hoops and rings.
The actor completed his look with a burnt red suit jacket, black trousers and black and white dress shoes.
The exes first met in 2009, when they were cast in Hunter S. Thompson’s adaptation of The Rum Diary.
They began dating in 2012 and tied the knot in a civil ceremony in 2016, although the marriage lasted just over a year.
Heard filed for divorce and a restraining order against Depp in May 2016, accusing Depp of being abusive throughout their relationship.

Ultimately, the actor was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages for Depp and $5 million in punitive damages.
Heard filed a countersuit and was awarded $2 million in damages, and although both sides appealed, they settled the case in December 2022.
