Shocking footage has emerged of a clash between a model and a celebrity stylist during the Melbourne Fashion Festival last week.

Paige Montana De Cinque, 30, stopped by popular Melbourne venue Bar Bambi with friends on Saturday night and says she was shouted at by stylist Jamie Azzopardi, who uses they/them pronouns, as she entered a private booth to greet a friend.

In footage of the brutal clash, obtained by Daily Mail Australia, Azzopardi screams that they are ‘Head of Fashion Week’, despite not being on the organisation’s board.

De Cinque said Azzopardi only approached her and her friends to tell them to ‘move the hell out’ after they entered the stylist’s private booth.

The model said she did not know they had entered Azzopardi’s booth as “it was not sectioned off, there was no security, no wristbands”.

“They could have just got someone from the venue, asked us politely and we would have happily moved,” she told Daily Mail Australia.

However, De Cinque claimed that Azzopardi immediately became irritated by their presence and tried to move her and her friends along.

“We were just standing behind (the DJ booth) talking to (the DJ) because he’s our friend,” De Cinque said.

‘After about half an hour Jamie came and started shouting at everyone and asking everyone to get out.

“Jamie started being really passive aggressive… and was like, ‘You and your plastic have to move,'” she added.

Footage of the night began at this point, with Azzopardi approaching the DJ and saying: ‘This is going to end badly if (De Cinque and her friends) don’t move. It will end badly.’

The DJ then replied over the loud music: ‘I don’t know who you are’, to which the stylist claimed: ‘I’m Jamie. I am the head of fashion week.’

Once again, the DJ said they didn’t know who Azzopardi was, but the partygoer was determined to eliminate De Cinque and her friends where they stood.

‘I do not care. I don’t care who any of these b***hes are,” Azzopardi said.

Azzopardi’s claims that they are ‘Head of Fashion Week’ may come as a shock to the management of the annual festival.

Despite frequently attending the festival and styling various influencers and celebrities throughout the week, Azzopardi’s name is not included in the team listed on the Melbourne Fashion Week website.

The management team listed are Managing Directors Caroline Ralphsmith and Deirdre McGuane, Chief Customer Officer Clare Molesworth and Managing Assistant Sara Whitten.

The Daily Mail has contacted Melbourne Fashion Week for comment on the incident.

After more back and forth, De Cinque said she and her friends left Bar Bambi immediately after the altercation with Azzopardi and informed staff and security of what happened.

Daily Mail Australia contacted Azzopardi for comment, but they declined to make an official statement on the matter.

Azzopardi told Herald Sun on Monday, they responded calmly after De Cinque and her friends allegedly took a bottle of alcohol from their stand.

The celebrity stylist said: ‘(De Cinque) had been asked to move about 50 times.’

“People who know me know I’m not one to be disrespected, especially as I celebrate the end of a great week that was the Fashion Festival,” they said.

De Cinque denied taking the alcohol and said she did not recall seeing anyone with a bottle.

She went on to tell Daily Mail Australia that she and her friends were not drinking at all that night and intends to report the incident to the police and obtain CCTV footage.

Bar Bambi owner Nick Russian told the Herald Sun the venue was busy and he did not notice an altercation taking place.

Azzopardi attended the fashion event every day, styling looks for influencers and celebrities throughout the festival.

They stunned onlookers as they wore 16 separate outfits during the event.
