UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman has been taken to the hospital in critical condition after saving his mother and father from a house fire seconds before the house’s roof collapsed.

The 59-year-old first-time UFC Heavyweight Champion, who beat legends like Stephan Bonnar, Gary Goodridge and Don Frye back in the 1990s, saved his parents’ lives in Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday morning when he pulled them out of their home after that they were trapped in an inferno.

Coleman first retrieved his mother and father from the burning home, then got them to a safe area before returning for his puppy.

According to Jonathan Snowden, from the MMA EncyclopediaColeman’s dog woke the fighter to a house on fire but didn’t make it, multiple sources have reported.

Coleman is now intubated and sedated after being airlifted to the hospital in Fremont, according to ‘MMA Detective’ Mark Daviswho shared a photo of the retired mixed martial artist in bad shape on Instagram on Tuesday.

Coleman, who has three daughters, one with his current partner and two others from a previous marriage, is close to his mother, Connie, as he once paid tribute to her in a sweet post on X (Twitter) on Mother’s Day 2022.

“You are my favorite thank you for everything you are my inspiration,” the caption read. ‘I love you so much.’

Close friend and former MMA fighter Wes Sims paid tribute to Coleman – the UFC 10 and UFC 11 tournament champion – on Facebook earlier Tuesday and asked fans to keep him in their thoughts.

‘I firmly believe in the power of prayer. I sent family and some friends a few pictures of Mark Coleman’s current condition. I know Mark, if he could, he’d say film this s*** Wes, we’re going viral!’ Sims shared on the social media platform.
