EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Why Millie Mackintosh is having salmon cells injected into her head

Millie Mackintosh may have suspected there was something fishy about her friendship with Meghan Markle when an invitation to the royal wedding didn’t arrive.

Now the former Made In Chelsea star, 35, has made the brains talk again by injecting salmon stem cells into her scalp. The non-surgical anti-aging treatment is said to help treat hair loss by stimulating follicle growth again.

“I’ve been wanting to try a scalp treatment for a while, so I had some exosomes injected into my hairline to help promote hair growth,” says Millie, whose ancestor invented Quality Street chocolates.

However, health experts have warned that the treatment, which can cost more than £3,000 for five sessions, could lead to bacterial infections including, in extremely rare cases, life-threatening sepsis. “I’m doing a course, so I’ll let you know the results,” Millie promises.

David and Lord are fast friends.

This week the former porn baron, 75, met Edward Davenport at The Arts Club in Mayfair. ‘Fast Eddie’, 58, who calls himself ‘Lord Edward’ despite lacking any aristocratic heritage, is a convicted fraudster who has served two prison terms. “It was a fun evening,” Eddie tells me. “David and I have been friends since the ’80s.”

Yasmin’s daring relationship with Gandy was a bit like a car accident

David Gandy enjoys a very dangerous friendship with fellow model Yasmin Le Bon.

Often described as the most handsome man in Britain, Gandy, 44, once competed with the wife of Duran Duran star Simon Le Bon in the Italian open road endurance race Mille Miglia, which involves driving 1,000 miles in five days.

And now he reveals that Yasmin, 59, crashed her classic Jaguar XK120 on the outskirts of Rome.

‘It was a very rainy day and another competitor almost hit us. Yasmin avoided her brilliantly, but unfortunately the car went off and we went down a grass bank,” he tells the Travel Secrets podcast. “I saw the Jaguar team go by and I probably didn’t understand Yasmin very much and I said, ‘Get back in the car and drive.’ ‘”.

Charles is the king of the road

King Charles still wears the same faded tartan tweed coat that has been repaired for decades, but when it comes to his wheels, he prefers them new.

While driving to church in Crathie, near Balmoral, earlier this month, the Monarch was seen behind the wheel of an Audi Q8 E-Tron S Line 55 Quattro.

The electric vehicle was manufactured in Belgium and registered in this country in July. The Quattro costs £76,000 and can hit 62mph in less than six seconds. Audi has supplied cars to the Royal Family for years and was awarded a Royal Warrant in May.

Richard Doyle, then UK director of the German brand, said at the time: “We are delighted to continue working with the King and his team.”

Last year, the King was seen taking Queen Camilla for a spin in an older model of the same car.

The artistic secret of the tragic Liam

Tragic One Direction star Liam Payne was much more than just a singer, according to his friend, podcaster Steven Bartlett.

“Liam is creative in a way that I don’t think people understand,” he tells me at a party to celebrate the launch of Flight Studios in London’s East End.

‘I remember going to his house and seeing a room where there were all these beautiful works of art that he had painted and drawn himself.

“I’ll always remember him for that.”

Bartlett isn’t the only person who will remember Payne’s skills with the brush. Artist David Hockney is said to have a portrait of himself hanging in his home, created by Payne.

Bartlett adds: ‘He’s a friend. I miss him a lot.’

The Green Goddess Diana Moran is still remarkably young at the age of 85, but even she knows her limits.

Best known for presenting the popular exercise segment on BBC1’s Breakfast Time in the 1980s, she reveals she turned down an offer to compete on Strictly Come Dancing.

Her friend Angela Rippon was, of course, an inspiration when she became Strictly’s oldest contestant, at 79 years old. “I can’t do high kicks like Angela and I never could,” he tells me at a party in London. ‘I’m very energetic, but I wasn’t trained like her in dancing. She has the delicacy of dancing and I don’t have it. Diana adds: “I appreciate that I’m too old to be mistreated like they are today.”

King Charles has been on the throne for more than two years, but his stepson has yet to visit the monarch’s Norfolk retreat.

“I’ve never been to Sandringham House,” reveals Tom Parker Bowles.

Sandringham is where the Royal Family gathers for the festive season and it was reported that Tom was due to stay there last year. However, the food writer says: ‘Christmas is usually at my old house with my ex-wife and children. “It really depends on what each person wants.”

Bernie Ecclestone agreed last year to pay more than a quarter of his wealth to the taxman after admitting hiding £416m from HMRC. The billionaire’s son-in-law, Jay Rutland, on the other hand, can expect to receive a windfall.

Rutland, 43, who is married to Bernie’s daughter Tamara Ecclestone, has wound up his company, Brigante Business Developments, with the solvency statement reporting an expected liquidation payout to him of £244,343.

He signed the paperwork at the 57-bedroom mansion in Kensington, west London, which he shares with Tamara, 40, and their two children. Rutland founded Brigante, which means bandit in Italian, in 2012.

That year, he was banned and fined £30,000 after watering down risk warnings and revealing insider information as a broker.
