The mother of murdered schoolgirl Charlise Mutten had sex in a park with the man accused of murdering her daughter before Googling the symptoms of a horrific sexually transmitted disease, a court heard.
Justin Laurens Stein, 33, has pleaded not guilty to murdering the nine-year-old boy on or about January 12, 2022 in the Blue Mountains.
Charlise’s body was found by detectives on January 18, 2022, in a barrel dumped near the Colo River, in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.
Stein had spent the night of Jan. 11 alone with Charlise at a property in Mount Wilson, while the girl’s mother, Kallista Mutten, was in a camper at Riverview Ski Park, about 90 minutes away, it was reported to the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Mr. Stein allegedly told Ms. Mutten that Charlise was sick and that he had left her with a real estate agent who had come to do an appraisal of the property.
In the hours after the schoolgirl was allegedly shot, Stein and Charlise’s mother, Kallista Mutten, drove to the exclusive neighborhood of Surry Hills, near Sydney’s city centre, to buy methamphetamine.

The nine-year-old boy’s alleged killer, Justin Stein, traveled with Ms Mutten to Surry Hills in inner Sydney to get the drug and tools to use it, a court heard.
They then went to nearby Centennial Park, where Mutten told police they had sex.
But then Ms. Mutten became suspicious and searched the Internet for “blood coming out of the penis after sex” and “blood coming out of the penis after ejaculation.”
She then accused Mr. Stein of cheating on her and contracting gonorrhea, a sexually transmitted disease.
Police alleged that Ms Mutten sent a message to Mr Stein telling him: “you are a liar, a cheater and now I have lost my daughter”.
When the couple returned to Mount Wilson, Ms Mutten called Lithgow Hospital and Blue Mountains Hospital and also conducted online searches for children’s emergency rooms in the area.
Ms Mutten left the Mount Wilson property the next day in Stein’s red Holden Colorado ute.
“If you don’t return it, I will hurt you and everyone else,” Stein said in one of the messages.
“I have my damn weapons and I’m going to kill you.”

Stein claims Mutten shot his own daughter.
His lawyer told the court earlier this week that he had initially lied to police to cover up for Mutten because the couple were in a relationship.
Stein spent more than two hours being interviewed by police at Penrith police station on January 14, 2022, two days after prosecutors allege he shot the girl twice and stuffed her body into a barrel before rolling her down the street. an embankment near the Colo River.
The alleged killer, who has pleaded not guilty to the murder but admits to having disposed of Charlise’s body, broke down in tears during police questioning.
He told officers that Charlise was his “girl” and that she “means a lot” to him.
Stein told police she had left Charlise with a real estate agent on Jan. 12, who had offered to babysit the nine-year-old girl because she woke up feeling sick.
It was after this that Stein and Mutten traveled to Sydney to buy drugs and have sex in a park.
When they returned shortly before 9 pm, the house was locked and Charlise was nowhere to be found.
Stein said he had “no reason to lie” about the real estate agent’s story, although he did not mention the real estate agent’s name or number, and told police he would tell police “at a later date” if anything bad had happened to the real estate agent. schoolgirl.
“That kid really means a lot to me, you know what I mean, I don’t have a lot of experience, but this was my chance,” she said through tears.
“She was going to be my girl.”
Officers question why after learning this information, Stein did not appear to take any steps to find out who the woman was by investigating what real estate agency she worked for.

Several times during the interview, Stein became emotional and explained that he was under immense stress and had not slept at all the night before.
Kallista Mutten (pictured) did not call the police until two days after her daughter went missing, the court heard.
Stein told police he spent that time traveling to locations around Sydney, including Rose Bay and Drummoyne, to ask contacts from his criminal past if they knew what happened to Charlise.
Prosecutors allege that Stein was in fact looking for a suitable place to dump Charlise’s body.
When asked who those people were, Stein does not specify, adding that while he has no current conflicts, there was “bad blood” between him and an accomplice in a cocaine importation scheme for which he spent five years in prison.
Stein had also reported his car stolen the day after he claimed Charlise went missing, and police officers attended the property in connection with that report.
In the video, officers ask why Stein didn’t tell police at the time that Charlise was missing.
“Yesterday the police were at the house and a report was made about the theft of a car, but not about the disappearance of a nine-year-old child,” says one of the agents.
‘Can you appreciate where we come from?’
The question then turns to whether Stein or Mrs. Mutten had anything to do with what happened to Charlise, whether accidentally or deliberately.
Officers suggest Charlise may have been accidentally run over or taken medication from which she didn’t wake up.
—Have you been involved in Charlise’s death? asks one of the officers.
“No, no,” Stein replies.
When asked if Ms. Mutten could have done something to Charlise without her knowledge, Stein said that with her history of drug use and mental health issues “it could be possible.”
“Honestly, in my opinion, I don’t think her kids mean as much as she says they do (sic).”
