Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are no strangers to finding celebrity godparents for their children, and now their new godparents have been revealed.
The Deadpool & Wolverine star, 47, and the It Ends With Us actress, 36, recruited good friend Taylor Swift to be godmother to their four young children: daughters James, nine; Inez, seven; Betty, four; and Olin, one.
It’s still unclear exactly when Olin, whose name and gender were only confirmed late last month, was born, as Ryan and Blake have been careful to provide details.
Around the same time, Taylor Swift confirmed that she was the godmother of the couple’s youngest child.
Now Olin’s godfather has stepped forward and has a major connection to Ryan’s latest blockbuster.

Now, the godfather of his youngest son, one-year-old Olin, has come forward and has a major connection to Ryan’s latest blockbuster, Deadpool & Wolverine (pictured).
In an interview published Monday by Variety that focused on the making of Deadpool & Wolverine, the film’s director Shawn Levy admitted that he had accepted the responsibility of being Olin’s godfather.
Levy spilled the beans as he enthusiastically talked about how Ryan and Blake’s four children all landed cameos as alternate universe versions of Deadpool.
“Slowly, all the Reynoldses became part of the movie, including the youngest,” he explained. “As Olin’s proud godfather, that might be my favorite voice cameo.”
He did not elaborate on being Olin’s godfather, and it is unclear who James, Inez and Betty’s godfather is.
Olin ended up voicing a briefly seen character known as Babypool.
Blake also joined in on the fun with a cameo as Ladypool, a female version of Deadpool who appears to be Babypool’s mother, while Inez got in on the action by lending her voice to Kidpool.
James was also involved as a screaming mutant character.
Betty was the only one of the four children who did not appear to have a cameo in the blockbuster, but was credited at the end of the film as “Hugh Jackman’s shepherdess.”
In April, Shawn admitted People that he and Ryan had “become very close friends” after working together repeatedly.

In fact, he now lives just “half a block” from Ryan and Blake.
Shawn, who, like Ryan, hails from Canada, has developed a meaningful friendship after they worked together on 2021’s Free Guy, followed by Netflix’s sci-fi film The Adam Project.
After the first Deadpool film was directed by Tim Miller and the second by David Leitch, Levy took over the franchise with Deadpool and Wolverine to work with his friend again.
Prior to that, he made a name for himself directing popular comedies like Night At The Museum and Date Night, and also previously collaborated with Deadpool and Wolverine star Hugh Jackman on 2011’s Real Steel.
