The New York Giants lost their 13th straight game to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott with Thursday’s 20-15 loss at MetLife Stadium.

But it wasn’t the NFL’s highest-paid player who left the Giants with a 1-3 record. Rather, according to fans and the media, quarterback Daniel Jones’ inaccuracy on deep throws was to blame.

“Daniel Jones was very efficient tonight, which is good.” Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports wrote in X. But he misses every deep throw. The Giants can win games with “efficient” play, but at some point they’re going to have to make those deep shots for the offense to be really good.”

Jones finished with 281 yards on 29-of-40 passing Thursday. His final attempt, fittingly, was a poorly thrown Hail Mary pass that fell into the arms of the Cowboys’ Amani Oruwariye as Dallas improved to 2-2 on the season.

“Daniel Jones has been missing almost all of his deep throws,” ESPN Giants correspondent Jordan Raanan wrote in X. “That’s something we saw a lot this summer as well.”

“Daniel Jones just doesn’t have an arm to throw deep balls,” agreed former FS1 host and Cowboys fan Skip Bayless.

The former Cowboys defensive end and current ESPN analyst asked, ‘Isn’t Daniel Jones Arm strong?’
