CNN panel says Dems 'messed up' and should have celebrated Elon Musk instead of alienating him

A CNN panel acknowledged where Democrats screwed up their relationship with Elon Musk and admitted they should have celebrated.

The billionaire boss of Tesla and SpaceX has thrown his support behind Donald Trump this election season and even joined him on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, just three months after the former president survived an assassination attempt.

Musk admitted his well-established opinions about Vice President Kamala Harris, who Musk said had been “trashing non-stop” during the presidential campaign in a recent interview with Tucker Carlson.

During a panel discussion on CNN NewsNight with Abby Philips, California Congressman Ro Khanna and left-wing podcast host Kara Swisher admitted that Democrats made a mistake by losing Musk’s support.

“I think the reason the Democrats started losing Elon was actually a personal thing. “We should have celebrated his contributions to electric vehicles even though he was against unionization,” Khanna said.

‘We should have said, look, Starlink, a great product that should be used. It is worth celebrating that he has achieved the first commercial success of an individual in space. “I think a lot of it was because we didn’t celebrate it and he was offended.”

Philips asked if there was a specific moment when Democrats lost Musk, and Swisher said it was when he was turned down an invitation to President Joe Biden’s electric vehicle summit in 2021.

‘Yes, I got a call from him about it when he wasn’t invited to that EV summit. I should have been invited. I called the White House (I never call the White House) and said, ‘Why didn’t you invite him? He’s very angry,'” Swisher said.

‘I thought he is vitally important in this sector. I think the union issue was the big reason why they weren’t invited and they should have been. He deserved that credit.

Musk’s appearance at Trump’s rally in Butler was the first time he took the stage at a political rally.

The billionaire was inspired to publicly endorse Trump after the former president’s failed assassination attempt in Butler on July 13.

He told Carlson that if Harris wins the election, “I’m screwed” and predicted the vice president would send him to prison.

“If he loses, I’m screwed,” he said. ‘How long do you think my prison sentence is going to be? Will I see my children? I don’t know.’

He has also joked that Biden and Harris have not had public assassination attempts because it would be ‘useless’

Musk said: “No one bothers to kill Kamala because it doesn’t make sense.” What do you achieve? Just another puppet.
