A popular skincare product sold nationwide has been recalled over safety concerns.

Clear Skincare’s 150ml Exfoliating Gel Cleanser was recalled by Product Safety Australia (PSA) on Wednesday.

The PSA claimed the product did not comply with mandatory standard labelling for cosmetic ingredients because its ingredient list was incorrect.

“There is a risk of allergic reaction if consumers are exposed to ingredients to which they are sensitive or allergic,” the PSA recall said.

“Consumers will not be able to refer to the ingredient list to identify the possible cause and seek appropriate treatment,” the PSA recall states.

The product was sold in Priceline stores across Australia between February 27 and July 10 this year.
