They revealed that the actor’s life is revealed in the “unbreakable” documentary.

It is believed to show aspects of his late father unknown to the public, before he tragically died from heart failure in 2004, at the age of 52.

After years of studying at Julliard, where he attended alongside Robin Williams, Christopher landed the role of Superman.

The iconic cast, with only a handful of credits to their name, catapulted him to global fame and stardom.

After becoming the best-known face of the Kryptonian hero, he was involved in an accident that changed his life.

He was paralyzed from the neck down in 1995 after a riding accident.

“Heroism is much more than superficial strength and a shiny image,” Will said of his father’s legacy.

‘It’s about integrity, being present to your family, persevering through difficult circumstances and continuing to have that joy in life. That was our dad,’ he said.

The film offers a rare glimpse into his life behind the scenes.

“There were ups and downs, but also two deep and true loves and (three) children who together blended into this beautiful family,” he continued.

Reeve’s eldest son, Matthew, had previously made two documentaries about his father, with footage from those films used in Super/Man.

“We wanted to honor his story, but not make it a sugar-coated piece,” insists Matthew, adding how important it was to see how difficult his life after the accident was for him, his family and his caregivers.

He and his older brothers agreed that it was Dana who really kept the family together after the tragic accident that changed her life.

The film is directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, who said they learned a lot about how Reeve had changed mentally after the injury.

‘Christopher learned what was important after that. It wasn’t about doing a successful movie or more roles. “It was his family and we focused on their close ties,” Ian said.
