Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth could be about to reunite with one of his former Home and Away co-stars.
The 40-year-old hunk, who appeared on the long-running Seven soap between 2004 and 2007, is rumoured to be ‘helping’ Kate Ritchie return to Summer Bay.
The plan to bring the two back together was revealed this week on Nova’s. Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie.
According to co-host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli, Kate needed an “audition partner” before her return could be made “official.”
After announcing that she had written a script, Wippa mocked the veteran actress by saying that she had arranged a former Home and Away star to film scenes with her.
And on Friday, Wippa revealed that he had received a voicemail from the Hollywood star about Kate’s audition, which he then played during the show using a decoder to conceal the actor’s identity.
“Look, man, I read the script you just sent and it’s crazy,” the actor said.
“That story, that story, it’s a Bay bomb. And I love it, and I love the idea of you guys, you know, getting into it.

The actor then asked for more time to “prepare” for the role.
‘So, is there any chance you could give me a little more time to perfect the character so I can, you know, do the scene justice?’ they continued.
Because I think we’ve got something good going on and I’d love to see it work out. Call me Wip.
Kate then assumed that the voice belonged to her former co-star.
“I know who I think he looks like. He’s a man with a pretty deep, husky voice… He’s no longer working on Home and Away. He’s not Chris Hemsworth, is he?”
Wippa tried to dodge Kate’s questions: “I can’t answer your questions,” he said, adding: “He’s a big name. You’ll know when he’s on the scene.”

Kate (pictured with Debra Lawrence, who played Pippa) grew up with the soap, playing the beloved Sally Fletcher from the age of 8, from series 1 to 21.
Kate rose to fame playing Sally in Home and Away between 1988 and 2008 and has often spoken publicly about returning to Summer Bay.
Meanwhile, Chris took on the role of Kim Hyde in Home and Away in 2004, having originally auditioned for the role of Robbie Hunter, which he lost to Jason Smith.
After appearing in 171 episodes, Chris left the show in 2007.
The producers of Seven or Home and Away have not made any official word about his rejoining the cast.

Recent rumors that Kate was returning to the Bay Area emerged last week when the star took part in an epic Home and Away reunion for her co-stars at Ray Meagher’s 80th birthday celebrations.
The actress took to her Instagram Stories to give a glimpse of the fun-filled celebrations, which came two weeks before Ray’s big birthday on July 4.
Last month, Kate met up with Chris after he came on her radio show to promote his new film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
In the picture, Kate was all smiles as she posed alongside Chris, 40, and actress Anya Taylor-Joy, 28.
