According to customers, the app and website of the Charles Schwab trading company are not working.
Furious customers have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to complain about what appears to be a significant outage.
According to Downdetector, which monitors when websites and apps are down, more than 1,000 customers reported problems logging in this morning.
‘You need to get your platform back up and running this morning. These sudden interruptions in the middle of trading without prior notice are not acceptable,” said a customer at X.
It still appeared to be down at 12:10 pm ET when one person wrote: ‘Still down. Hold them responsible by calling Charles Cchwab and make it up to him!’
The Charles Schwab app was not working on Tuesday
On its website, Charles Schwab said: ‘Due to a technical issue, some customers may have difficulty logging in to Schwab.com, our mobile app and the StreetSmart platforms.
‘We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.’
Charles Shwab later sent an email shortly before 1:00 pm ET saying: ‘A previous issue where some customers may have had trouble logging in to some Schwab platforms has been resolved.
‘Customers can try to log in again. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
