Children’s TV presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell has spoken about her devastation at losing her job at Cbeebies when she posed for nude photographs.
The radio and television personality, now 50, was working for the BBC children’s channel when she agreed to take part in a PETA campaign in which she posed almost naked.
Photographs from 2011 showed her lying in a pair of naked panties with her hands covering her modesty, as she lay on a plate of food in London’s Trafalgar Square.
However, the charity campaign caused his world to come crashing down around him as he revealed he was suicidal and facing £100.00 in debt.
Talking about the terrible experience of The suns Writing in Fabulous magazine, Sarah-Jane said: ‘I felt like I had let my husband down. He would disappoint my parents. He would disappoint everyone.

“I walked to the train station in Liverpool and I didn’t think it was going to kill me or hurt me, but it was like a compulsion.
“It was like, ‘I need to jump.’ And then I remember my little boy kicking and that surprised me.
Sarah-Jane is mother to her two children, Indiana, six, and Phoenix, eight, with husband Ayden Callaghan, who previously starred in Hollyoaks.
He got the job aged 29 in 2001 and was earning around £300 per episode.
Sarah-Jane clicked with her co-star Justin Fletcher, who played Mr Tumble, however, she claimed he cheated on her once the photos were released.
The former children’s TV star admitted she was shocked by the channel’s strict regulation, having once been reprimanded for getting a tattoo of fairy wings on her back.
Sarah-Jane described having to be “squeaky clean”.
However, she insisted she didn’t think PETA’s racy photos were a problem and claimed she was originally told she would be wearing underwear.

But when she took a stand, they told her that stripping would make more headlines and she accepted because it was for a good cause.
Although his opinion changed when the photos were released and he remembers that ‘his legs almost came out from under him’ when he saw the coverage.
Sarah-Jane recalled calling Justin because she had a bad feeling, but said she never heard from him again about any of the other Cbeebies stars.
He said he discovered through a newspaper article that the BBC had said he was no longer working for the channel.
The backlash she received was huge and someone even created a ‘I Hate Sarah-Jane Honeywell’ Facebook group to troll her.
In the years that followed, Sarah said her job offers dried up and she struggled to pay her debts; In March 2015 she had hit rock bottom and wanted to end her life.
However, after feeling the kick of her unborn baby, Phoenix, she was given hope for the future and named him because he “rose from the ashes.”
In September last year, Sarah-Jane admitted she is still “constantly embarrassed” after being fired over the topless photo.

She said: ‘I let my CBoobies out on a beach in La Manga and posted a photo of myself topless on Instagram.

Sarah-Jane admitted she also lied about taking illegal drugs when questioned during a BBC medical.
The star had previously dabbled in cocaine and pills, but feared being honest would cost her her job.
Sarah-Jane said she also struggled to get along with some of her colleagues behind the scenes and even recalled an incident where a co-worker told her she looked “old and ugly” and that her hair was too long.
Although he now works at BBC Radio Lincoln presenting a Sunday afternoon show, he still has a bitter taste in his mouth from his time with CBeebies and won’t let his children watch the channel.
