Chris said: ‘Camilla and I are passionate about helping young people and their families get serious about the prospect of a career in sport or the arts.

‘We care about the future and growing disparities and believe that every child should have the same opportunities as any other on and off the field.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support you gave us tonight and thank everyone who has donated.”

While Camilla added: ‘Coming from a working class background and being in the world of classical music hasn’t been easy. I want future generations of working class artists to have role models like them to aspire to.

‘I am concerned that this will not happen if research continues to show a further decline in working class creatives.

“Investing in the arts and diversity benefits not only our economy but also our health, happiness and, most importantly, brings people together.”
