Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor may have avoided each other on the premiere night of their new show – but the Vanderpump Rules star revealed she’s still “very” in love with her “handsome” husband as she discussed her plans for another child.
The reality TV couple, who share two-year-old son Cruz, announced their split last month after nearly five years of marriage, with Brittany saying she made the decision for “the good of (her) Mental Health”.
The mother-of-one, 35, has moved into a rental home in Sherman Oaks, California – but she’s clearly not done with the businessman for good, as she told DailyMail .com that she still loves Jax, 44, and is currently trying to “Find Out” if she wants them to get together.
Speaking on The Valley’s premiere night, she said: “I feel like I see Jax across the room and I’m like, ‘He looks so handsome.’ “I still love it a lot. It’s a tough time, isn’t it? It’s still fresh, so yeah, it’s still fresh.

The Vanderpump Rules star, who has two-year-old son Cruz with Jax, also revealed plans to have another child.
“I don’t even know what it would mean for someone to capture my heart now. I think it’s just, I don’t know. It’s too early to think about it.
She continued: “I still live in an AirBNB. I always take my time for myself, trying to figure out what I want to do, if I want to get back into this relationship or if I decide to do something else.
“And I never, ever thought I would get to this point because I’ve literally been Jax’s ride or die.”
Brittany previously reconciled with Jax in 2017 after it was revealed he cheated on her with their co-star Faith Stowers.
She said she “stayed by his side” during their tumultuous times, but said the continued fighting in front of their young son was the final straw for her to split.
“Everyone knows he hurt me many times and I always stood by him,” she said. “But after I had my son, I think it kind of woke me up and made me realize what I deserve and what he deserves.
“And a happy home is more important than constantly trying to make things work.” Cruz doesn’t deserve to see his parents fight. It’s not good. And Jax is a great dad. He’s just not a good husband.
She continued: “And I’m not perfect either. I was becoming a bitch Brittany, which is not the case, because everything he did annoyed me, drove me crazy.
Brittany told DailyMail.com she decided to call it quits, fearing their constant fighting could be detrimental to their son.
The reality TV star and businesswoman said she is still debating whether or not to reunite with her husband, but said she has no interest in dating other people at the moment.
“We were constantly arguing, and that’s why I noticed it and because of my son, I realized it wasn’t right.”
When asked if she would like to have a sibling for Cruz, with or without Jax, she replied: “Oh, sure. Yeah. One more. One more probably.
Brittany was speaking last week at the premiere party for the upcoming Bravo series, The Valley, held Thursday night at Jax’s Bar in Studio City.
The former couple avoided each other, only meeting again during the official press photos, before resuming their distance.
Brittany spent the night with her girlfriends, including co-stars Kristen Doute and Michelle Lally, as well as her publicist Lori Krebs and comedian Heather McDonald.
Jax spent time with executive producer Alex Baskin, Bachelor In Paradise’s Wells Adams, and some of his former Vanderpump Rules castmates, including Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval.
Speaking about his marriage, Jax told DailyMail.com: “We are separated. I don’t want to delve too much into that. I will tell you right now that we are separated.
“Our main concern is our son. And take care of him and make sure he has two happy parents. We have businesses together and that’s basically all I’m saying.
“I don’t know what the future holds. Every day is new right now, but yeah, that’s it. That’s exactly all I had to say about it.

The former couple visibly avoided each other all night during The Valley’s premiere party, which took place at Jax’s bar in Studio City.
Jax’s The Valley castmates have defended the reformed lothario against cheating allegations, with Zack Wickham insisting: “I can tell you he’s one hundred percent not cheating.”
Kristen added: “I’m with Jax and Brittany literally almost daily and I’ve never heard anything. I never thought that – and I would be the very first person to call him if I did.
Brittany and Jax started dating in 2015, two years before he admitted to his infidelity.
But they stayed together and got engaged in 2018, married in June 2019 and welcomed their son Cruz in 2021.
They remained together until last month, when Brittany revealed she had split from her husband during an episode of their podcast, When Reality Hits.
The Valley is their long-awaited return to the Bravo universe. It premieres tonight.
