Phoebe Dynevor has started filming a new blockbuster about sharks and a $30 million movie in Melbourne.

The Bridgerton The 29-year-old star has been busy filming the as-yet-untitled thriller in Mornington, southeast of Melbourne, this week.

The actress was joined by Gladiator star Djimon Hounsou, who filmed scenes Down Under on Monday and Tuesday, according to The Herald of the Sun.

Filming has also taken place in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria, and production will also be based in Canterbury, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, as well as at Docklands Studios.

Although details surrounding the film are still being kept under wraps, locals have begun referring to this mystery thriller simply as “the shark movie.”

The film will revolve around a community that has to deal with shark attacks during a hurricane, The Hollywood Reporter previously reported.

Phoebe will appear in the film alongside Whitney Peak, who played Zoya Lott in the recent Gossip Girl reboot, and Djimon Hounsou, who starred alongside Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott’s epic Gladiator.

The as-yet-untitled film is being produced by Adam McKay and Kevin Messick’s company, HyperObject Industries, known for Don’t Look Up, The Big Short and the popular drama series Succession.

The film will be directed by writer Tommy Wirkola, whose previous credits include the horror film Dead Snow and Jeremy Renner’s thriller Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

According to Victoria’s Minister for Creative Industries, Colin Brooks, the film has received support from the state government through the Victorian Film Incentive Program and will create around 700 local jobs.

The production will reportedly inject $30 million into the local economy.

Before stepping in front of the camera, Phoebe took some time out in Queensland to get up close and personal with native wildlife at Silky Oaks Lodge.

Speaking to Instagram, the English star shared a series of photos showing her frolicking with kangaroos, spotting crocodiles and enjoying the rainforest.

“We had a magical experience staying at @silkyoakslodge in the world’s oldest rainforest,” Phoebe wrote.

This comes after Phoebe recently confirmed her engagement to American actor-turned-influencer Cameron Fuller.

Cameron, 28, is the son of American horror film director Brad Fuller and was first spotted with Phoebe in March last year.

Phoebe first revealed her oval engagement ring, reported to be worth £100,000 ($190,000), at last month’s Met Ball in New York, although the engagement was not confirmed until several days later.

Her mother, actress Sally Dynevor, spoke of her joy at her daughter’s happy news last month.

Sally, 61, told English daytime show Loose Women: “My daughter has just got engaged. He’s beautiful, he’s a lovely man.”

“I’m very, very happy. I’m excited, it really made my year,” she added.

Phoebe is best known for playing Daphne in the Netflix period drama Bridgerton.
