Three Palestinian terror suspects have reportedly been detained as they crossed the southern border into the United States as agents warn they do not have the resources to fully vet the migrants.
Sources said The New York Post that border agents detained three Palestinian migrants who illegally crossed the southern border earlier this month.
One migrant was said to have “shocking photographs” on his phone, including a picture of a masked man holding an AK-47 rifle.
Border Patrol agents told The Post they do not have the tools to fully vet migrants and that people with connections to terrorist organizations are slipping through the cracks.
“I wanted to join the Border Patrol and protect myself from terrorists. And I thought, well, I’ll probably let terrorists into the country,” one border agent said.

“Knowing who these guys are, we don’t have access to anything international. We really don’t and that’s a real shame.”
Three Palestinian immigrants and one Turkish immigrant are reportedly part of a group that turned themselves in to agents in the San Diego sector and were found to have possible ties to terrorist organizations.
It is not known which organizations they are affiliated with, but border agents in the San Diego sector have been warned to be on the lookout for individuals with ties to Palestinian terrorist groups.
A bulletin from the San Diego Customs and Border Protection (CBP) office urged guards to be on the lookout for members of Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Hamas’ deadly raids in southern Israel on October 7 have fueled fears that fighters from anti-Israeli armed groups may try to attack the Jewish state’s main global ally: the United States.

“Individuals inspired by or reacting to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas may attempt to travel to or from the zone of hostilities in the Middle East through indirect transit across the southwestern border,” the memo said.
The one-page document urges CBP officers to be on the lookout for “ideologically motivated fighters” from the Middle East passing through Mexico into the United States.
It features logos sometimes used by members of Gaza-controlled Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah, a Lebanese militia backed by Iran.
They should focus on single men of military age and look for patches, weapons, or camouflage gear.
Guards should ask them about their plans to return to the Middle East, whether they have military training or any connection to Israel or the Palestinian areas.
