The Bendigo Bank app and internet banking were hit by an outage this afternoon, preventing many from making online transactions.
Affected customers were unable to make purchases during the busy Thursday afternoon lunch hour because they were unable to transfer money between accounts.
‘We are aware of a problem that affects electronic banking and the application. Our technology teams are investigating this. We will update you further on this post as we know more.”
Many Australians were unimpressed with the disruption.
“Great, I’m trying to get radiation treatment and again I can’t transfer money to get there… I’m not happy,” one said.
“This is officially the nail in the coffin for me,” added a second.
A third said: ‘I’ve been at this bank for 16 years and I’m sick of this continually happening. Move to another bank TODAY!’
‘I lost my free time by not being able to do the shopping. And you in banking want to stop using cash, what a joke,” said a third.
