Australians are raving about Allen’s new candy-flavoured drink, which tastes exactly like a fan-favourite treat

Melbourne native Sasha Tyers couldn't wait to try the new Allen's Chatime drinks and ordered the Pineapple Green Tea and Milk Bottle flavour with oat milk and tapioca pearls.

Allen’s has teamed up with cult bubble tea brand Chatime to offer Australians a new range of drinks that taste “identical” to its famous sweets.

The limited-edition line of teas (starting at $8) is inspired by Allen’s signature Party Mix flavors, including milk bottle, banana, pineapple, red frog and peaches ‘n’ cream.

Sasha Tyers, A nutrition student from Melbourne couldn’t wait to try the bubble teas which launched on September 17 and shared her review online.

“Today we’re trying Allen’s new collaboration drink with Chatime, so I ordered the milk bottle drink and the regular pineapple green tea,” she said in a video.

After a few sips of the pineapple candy-inspired drink, Sasha’s eyes lit up with joy as she couldn’t believe how closely the tea matched the flavor of the iconic treat.

“No way. That tastes just like an Allen’s pineapple candy,” he said.

“There’s like Jell-O in here and coconut and the Jell-O tastes a lot like Allen’s.”

Allen’s impressed fan gave the “delicious” pineapple green tea, which she says is also available in a black tea base, a near-perfect score of 9.8 out of ten.

Chatime also has a bubble tea inspired by banana milk lollipops.

The limited edition teas are inspired by Party Mix candies, including Pineapple, Banana, Red Frog, Milk Bottle and Peaches and Cream.

Sasha was ‘super intrigued’ to try the milk bottle and tapioca pearl flavoured bubble tea and opted to have it with oat milk.

“This one is so delicious, it tastes like a vanilla frappe with tapioca in the bottom, it’s so good but it doesn’t taste as similar to Allen’s caramel as the pineapple one,” she said.

Still, he gave the drink a solid 9.5 for taste.

Thousands of Australians were excited about the surprising new collaboration.

“I wish I lived near a Chatime because I’d have to run, rather than walk, to try them,” said one.

“The pineapple one is great,” added another.

The teas are available exclusively at Chatime and Nestlé marketing director Melanie Chen encouraged Australians to try them while they still can.

“It’s not every day you get to try your favorite candy as a drink,” she said.

This isn’t the first time Allen’s has teamed up to offer lollipop lovers a new way to enjoy their popular flavors.

The confectionery giant previously partnered with Dusk to launch a range of candy-inspired bath bombs, candles, room sprays and fragrance oils.

Jeremy Taylor, Dusk’s marketing director, was excited to have the new line in stock.

“Our Dusk x Allen’s products have been crafted by our fragrance experts to smell exactly like the real thing – they’re incredibly inedible,” she said.
