Australian glamor model Sahara Ray has opened up about a recent health problem that has left her wheelchair-bound.
The daughter of Australian surfer Tony Ray took to social media on Sunday to reveal that she suffers from Guillain-Barré syndrome, a condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves.
“My whole life changed in an instant,” Sahara, 31, wrote, along with a series of clips from her journey with the disease.
In a TikTok video posted earlier this month, the model explained that she is currently paralyzed from her upper thighs to her feet.
Sahara added that she relies on a wheelchair and cannot walk without the help of a walker.

She explained that she was hit by a drunk driver traveling at 80 m/h on April 8.
“It basically sent my body into shock, which caused my body to go into some crazy illness,” he revealed.
“I got really sick for a week and a half or two weeks. During that time I barely ate because I couldn’t keep it down and my body became very weak,” she continued.
In a separate TikTok video, the model explained that she is currently paralyzed from her upper thighs to her feet.
Sahara added that she relies on a wheelchair and cannot walk without the help of a walker.
After his illness he began to feel tingling and numbness in his feet that progressed to his legs.
The model was immediately taken to the emergency room.
“This has been very difficult to deal with and I have been trying to keep a good attitude and hope that my feelings will return,” she told her followers on social media.
“Any advice would be fantastic or just love, support and prayers because I want to be able to walk again,” she added.
