An Australian man has been left furious after shelling out extra money for a harbour-view suite during a stay in Sydney only to find the prospects were “incredibly disappointing”.

Patrick Clifton I was excited to spend time looking out at the water, but instead landed in a room with a “small view” of the harbor.

“So I booked a room and they told me it would have a view of Darling Harbour, but look, what the hell is this, mate?” he said in a video.

‘Hi, enjoy the view of the ICC Sydney.

‘Enjoy the view of the oldest building known to man.’

He shared a video taken from the room that showed office buildings, a tennis court and city streets with only a small piece of the world-famous harbour visible from one side.

The angry Australian continued to show the cityscape with its office buildings, an industrial-looking block and a swimming pool, and became increasingly frustrated.

She left her fans in no doubt that she would request a room change and later reported that she had been upgraded to one with a better view and that she was “relaxing.”

Patrick Clifton from Sydney was in the city on holiday and was very disappointed to discover that the hotel considered his room to be a “harbour view”.

Part of the view from Patrick’s hotel room looked out over what he called “the oldest building known to man,” and another view showed just a small strip of water.

Although many people found the meltdown “hilarious,” most couldn’t understand why he had gotten angry in the first place.

“I’m very confused. That’s Darling Harbour,” said one.

“I mean you technically have a harbour view,” another added.

“Darling Harbour doesn’t have much to offer anyway,” commented a third.

Others who agreed the view was disappointing said Patrick must have opted for one of the hotel’s cheaper rooms.

“You got what you paid for!” said one.

And another insisted that it wasn’t worth getting so upset over a view.

“First world problems,” he said.

But others blamed hotels for exaggerating the views to charge more money for their rooms.

“It always happens,” said one.

“Always read the reviews,” added another.
