Randi Heather Norris, 39, of Springville, Utah, threatened her daughters that the family would be seen

A Utah mother allegedly told her daughters that their family would be “financially ruined” if they reported alleged sexual abuse inflicted by their own stepfather.

Randi Heather Norris, 39, of Springville, now faces charges of child abuse with injury, intentional or knowing, obstruction of justice, first-degree criminal mischief and tampering with a witness. ABC 4 reported.

One of the victims reported to the Division of Children and Family Services that she was sexually abused multiple times by her stepfather, Jason Wong, 39, who has been in a relationship with her mother for a decade.

DCFS turned the report over to Springville police, who then discovered the details of several sexual assaults along with the fact that her mother was aware of what was happening.

Norris allegedly told police that Jason Wong, 39, was “sexually abusing three of his daughters, all of whom were 13 years old or younger at the time of the abuse,” and she was conscious.

“The victim stated that Norris’ response was that it was up to her to decide if she wanted to report him,” the probable cause affidavit said.

“But if she reported him, they would be ‘financially screwed,'” ABC 4 reported.

Police also learned that the couple told a younger brother to lie to authorities about the abuse for the same reason: money.

Norris allegedly confessed to police that he knew Wong was “sexually abusing three of his daughters, all of whom were 13 years old or younger at the time of the abuse,” ABC 4 reported.

She was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Utah County Jail on charges of two felonies and one misdemeanor.

Wong was also arrested and jailed on two non-bailable charges: aggravated sexual abuse of a child and rape of a child, according to public documents.

The couple began a romantic relationship in November 2014 and now both work at Smith’s Food and Drug Stores in Springville: Norris as a cashier and Wong as a dairy manager.

In April of this year, Norris’ 11-year-old daughter reported a separate incident of sexual abuse by Wong that she discussed with investigators before telling them none of that happened, ABC 4 reported.

According to the probable cause statement, investigators discovered the victim withdrew her statement after the couple told her to do so.

In 2013, Norris was in criminal trouble for a free-ranging animal offense, a violation that occurs when an animal is not under the control of its owner or a responsible adult, according to public records.

The Springville Police Department did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com for comment.
