“The squad girls want to turn New York into Caracas,” Marty Dolan said at a recent fundraiser, attacking the so-called progressive ‘Squad’ in Congress, which is made up in part of New York members Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman.
After a long career in global finance, Westchester native Marty Dolan, 66, is confronting AOC head-on, insisting her constituents have grown tired of soft-on-crime policies and rhetoric that “invites” illegal immigrants to the district.
‘AOC and [Rep.] Jamaal Bowman are two bad representatives of their people because they present radical ideas that do not come from their constituents: they are their own ideas. “I think the community has seen enough.”
Liberal firebrand Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will face off in June against a Democratic challenger who says her “radicalism” has “ruined” New York and intends to reverse the city’s course.
“The squad girls want to turn New York into Caracas,” Marty Dolan said at a recent fundraiser, attacking the so-called progressive ‘Squad’ in Congress.
After a long career in global finance, 66-year-old Westchester native Marty Dolan takes on AOC head-on, insisting her constituents have grown tired of soft-on-crime policies and rhetoric that “invites” immigrants illegal to the district.
“On June 25 I’m going to have a Peking Duck party, for the lame duck AOC,” Dolan said, confident that his candidacy, which will face the headwinds of his opponent’s national fame, could prove successful. .
It all started when Ocasio-Cortez “ruined Amazon’s decision,” Dolan said in an interview with DailyMail.com.
Ocasio-Cortez’s outspoken opposition to Amazon’s planned new headquarters in Long Island City partly led the corporate giant to scrap its plans to come to New York.
“It’s notable, you know, the goal of most representatives is to create jobs in their communities,” Dolan said. “So it’s a serious injury to the district and its reputation.”
Dolan criticized the city’s liberal bail reform, 14 percent marginal tax rate and acceptance of illegal immigrants.
‘AOC has had her chance. So now you have to rely on your record, which is that the streets of Queens are full of illegal immigrants and crime,” he said.
‘She is encouraging people to make the trip from Ecuador to the Texas border; tens of thousands of people die. Radicals are responsible for the death and suffering along this path.”

And while the former business executive is no fan of radicalism, he is not a conservative either. Dolan believes in centralizing legislation at the federal level, so localities can focus on issues like crime and infrastructure.
He said one of the first things he would do in office is a “symbolic” move: changing the American motto from “In God We Trust” to “E Pluribus Unum,” or “Out of Many, One.”
‘We are one country, we are not 50 states. And we are not Democrats or Republicans.
‘The New York City Council is acting as if they are the founding fathers of New York once again under the Constitution. But instead, what they should be doing is, you know, making sure that basic public safety services, you know, pick up the trash.’
Dolan continued: ‘What I’m saying is that what Alexander Hamilton would do, George Washington would do is they would say, you know, we can’t have different abortion laws in every state. We may have different gun control laws in each state. We may have different health care laws in each state. We should harmonize them at the federal level, because among many we are one and then cities and states should focus on providing public safety. Transportation, basic services.’
Next, the Democrat has ambitious goals to address the national debt, reduce the state and local tax rate in New York while fixing income inequality by raising taxes on billionaires and instituting a “luxury sales” tax.
The largest portion of New Yorkers fleeing the state are married taxpayers earning between $100,000 and $500,000, according to a report released by State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.
“They’re a mom and dad, you know, maybe school teachers, they make $150,000 and they just don’t see how they’re going to be successful, so they leave.” Well, that’s deadly,’ Dolan said, ‘because then you bring in an illegal immigrant who is taking money from the public treasury, and you can see what happens.’
