An Amazon spokesperson debunked an exterminator’s theory after he told a woman that her cockroach infestation was caused by a package from the online retailer.
Niamh Zocco, 32, moved from Ireland to South Florida and has been sharing her trip across the United States on her TikTok account.
While her page usually chronicles her life in Fort Lauderdale, the content creator recently took to the video-sharing platform to share that. his house had been invaded by cockroaches.
He showed the extent of the infestation by stating that a pest control expert alleged that the dozens of cockroaches came from an Amazon package.
Now, a spokesperson has shut down the theory while speaking to DailyMail.com.

“There is no evidence to suggest this had anything to do with an Amazon package,” the spokesperson said.
In the mother clip, She said: “I returned my entire kitchen on a Saturday morning because we opened the wrong Amazon package at our house and had to fumigate every nook and cranny.”
In the video, which has been viewed more than 740,000 times, Niamh reveals she was forced to call the pest control company after cockroaches took over her home when she opened her parcel.
The video showed the content creator putting her glassware back into her cabinets.

“Just before a service was due, we saw little (little cockroaches),” he explained in the video.
“Then within a week I’d get up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water or something and they’d be running across our kitchen counter.”

Niamh said the exterminators told her they would put a ‘Band-Aid’ where they would gently treat some areas, which they said might resolve it because she had caught them from the beginning.
If that didn’t work, pest experts told him he would have to remove everything from his house so it could be fumigated.

The mother admitted that she thought the infestation could also be due to travel and that she “doesn’t rule it out” as the cause.
“I hope it never happens to anyone because it wasn’t fun,” he concluded the clip.
