ABC News has been accused of deliberately limiting coverage of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at a high-profile college football game.
The former president attended the highly anticipated college football game between the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia on Saturday, despite significant concerns about security measures.
Footage shared by Trump adviser Dan Scavino Jr. captured the former president in his element, tossing boxes of popcorn to fans.
Social media users took to X to criticize ABC, alleging that the network deliberately avoided showing Trump.
“It’s RIDICULOUS that Disney-owned ABC barely shows Trump at the game. Super fast camera shot, almost no mentions. Total bias,” said one viewer.

Trump appeared very briefly during ABC broadcast, critics say
The former president attended the highly anticipated college football game between the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia on Saturday, despite significant security measures.
Some users drew a comparison to coverage of pop star Taylor Swift’s recent high-profile appearances in the NFL.
‘Good old ABC only showed President Trump once. If Swifty had been there, all the other crowd scans would have started with her. A man FOR ALL AMERICANS,” wrote one fan.
“After the game it occurred to me why they didn’t show President Trump on TV more like they do Taylor Swift. They only showed him once in the private box, and it was from afar. The game was broadcast on ABC, the television network. David Muir and Linsey Davis,” said another.
When the game ended with Alabama emerging with a 41-34 victory, outraged viewers questioned the network’s motives.
‘The game is on ABC and there is no mention of Trump. Can you believe it, without even mentioning that President Trump is in the game? Maybe it’s for security reasons,” one person said.
Another chimed in, ‘ABC shows Trump for a second haha crazy @abc.’

The Secret Service set up walkways only for Trump to enter and exit while he was inundated with fans who watched and applauded at times.
Some defended the network, with one commenter asking: ‘Why the hell would they show him more?’ It’s a soccer game.
Meanwhile, at the game, the former president sparked an eruption of applause from Southeastern Conference (SEC) fans, typically a more conservative group, when he arrived before heading to a seemingly “bulletproof” luxury box loaded glass.
In the glass-filled luxury suite, the former president was joined by Herschel Walker, Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr. and more.
Protective barriers are a new staple at his public events following multiple recent assassinations in the former president’s life. He also had a huge Secret Service detail to escort him and keep an eye on the rowdy fans.
The Alabama Crimson Tide’s critical matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs is one of the most anticipated college games of the season, and regardless of the security implications, Trump didn’t want to miss it.

Waving and wearing his signature blue suit with red tie (red is a strategic color represented in both teams’ uniforms), the former president then shuffled across his fenced walkway toward his ballistic glass box.
Trump was invited to the game by Alabama businessman Ric Mayers and was joined in the suite by Alabama Senators Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville, ALGOP President John Wahl, and friends and family of Mayers.
